CLEAN SWEEP: Trump-endorsed candidates win big in Arizona

Tuesday and Wednesday nights were marked by celebration among Republican candidates in Arizona who were endorsed by former President Donald J. Trump.

On Thursday morning, Trump posted to Truth Social: "Trump on endorsements in Arizona, 10 for 10! MAGA2024!!!"

Among the wins included Kari Lake, Aba Hamadeh, Eli Crane, Paul Gosar, and Andy Biggs.

Kari Lake, who ran to succeed Republican Doug Ducey as Arizona's governor in 2022 and at the time lost, defeated Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb and other GOP candidates for the nomination.

AZ Central reported, "Congressional candidate Abe Hamadeh, an attorney who secured an early endorsement from former President Donald Trump, has won the Republican nomination for Arizona’s 8th Congressional District.

Unofficial results showed Hamadeh leading the crowded field by several points. His top rivals — venture capitalist Blake Masters, Arizona House Speaker Ben Toma, and former U.S. Rep. Trent Franks, and State Sen. Anthony Kern — trailed him at some distance."

According to Axios, Rep. Eli Crane defeated a Kevin McCarthy-backed primary opponent, former Yavapai County Board of Supervisors member Jack Smith. Crane was one of the eight GOP lawmakers who voted to oust McCarthy last October.

"Crane, who was first elected as Congressman for this district in 2022, describes himself as "pro-life, pro-second amendment, and unafraid to take a stand against cancel culture and the radical left" on his campaign website."

It's worth noting that Paul Gosar has discussed the idea that George Soros, a Democratic donor, collaborated with the Nazis against Jews in World War II.

Gosar supports a balanced budget amendment for the U.S. Constitution, supports a border wall, and opposes "efforts to create a national gun registry and other anti-gun legislation that erodes our gun rights."
