On Tuesday, Instagram suspended the official account of Based Apparel Brand, a clothing line originally founded by now-FBI Director Kash Patel and his former business partner Andrew Ollis.
Instagram suspended the account after it shared a post about patriot music artist Ira Dean.
The suspension comes just as Based Apparel was promoting Ira's new album, 'I Got Roads', "a collection of songs, most of which Dean co-wrote, looking back on his rich and vibrant life, and extraordinary career."
'I Got Roads' features collaborations with Ted Nugent and Uncle Kracker, among others.
Ira Dean is a patriot artist who celebrates the values that conservatives are fighting for to keep America great. However, Dean is not known to be controversial.
According to one of the brand's social media managers, Kaye, Instagram abruptly suspended the Based Apparel account after she a video of Nashville-based musician Ira Dean, who previously performed at a Kash Foundation event in July of 2024.
Instagram stated that Based Apparel violated Community Standards.
The brand has since filed an appeal.
