Toria Brooke began: "Good Morning.
At approximately 9:30 AM ET, Kash Patel, President Trump’s nominee for FBI director, is scheduled to appear before the Judiciary Committee.
Kash spent years as a Justice Department prosecutor, and spearheaded the House Intel Committee alongside Devin Nunes to investigate the Russiagate Hoax made against President Trump in an effort to discredit his 2016 election win."
Citing his bio on The Kash Foundation website, Toria wrote: "He has exposed illegal activity by those leading our agencies of law enforcement. Patel uncovered the unlawful actions of the FBI and Department of Justice to spy on Trump's campaign, including intentionally withholding evidence of innocence from the FISA Court, the falsification of court documents, and authored the famous Nunes Memo which laid out the historic corruption and weaponization of law enforcement.
Kash has called to reform the bureau and restore transparency to the American people. This week, in addition to a variety of endorsements from police associations and law enforcement, dozens of former FBI agents have come forward to endorse his leadership."
The hearing had its expected tumultuous moments, but was marked by an heir of support and gratitude among members of the committee.
Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) provided a bright opening statement, insisting that he expected Kash to be treated fairly. "To get to this point is a [big deal]. You gave [many] interviews and hours of media [to get here]…
Only 41% of the American people believe that the FBI is doing a good job. The FBI remains an indispensable institution for this country."
Paraphrased, Grassley said, "Mr. Patel, your extensive background gives you [the ability] to fulfill the role of FBI Director."
"Patel’s career is a study in fighting unpopular but righteous causes, exposing corruption, and putting America first."
"Through tireless works, Patel showed that Crossfire Hurricane was based on fraudulent work that was paid for by Democrats and the Clinton campaign."
Grassley commended Kash: "Mr. Patel has identified those that put their political interests before their duties. He has the qualifications that the FBI needs… [he] will be charged with taking over an FBI in crisis."
The Senator from Iowa then discussed his own release of internal FBI records pursuant to hundreds of FBI employees who resigned to avoid discipline; many of these employees had engaged in sexual misconduct.
Grassley said: "Many lower level FBI employees were punished more harshly than senior level employees. Fairness was out the window."
Then, Grassley discussed whistleblower complaints that under FBI Director Christopher Wray, FBI agents were moved from child sex abuse cases to January 6 cases.
"FBI conduct has eroded this once storied institution. I have never seen our law enforcement or intelligence agencies so infected." Grassley lamented
"[Otherwise], 50+ people would not have signed a letter in 2020 that the Hunter Biden laptop was a Russian hoax."
Grassley said he hoped that Kash "learns the lesson" for the FBI; that it was wrong what the bureau did in an effort to smear President Trump.
A class act, Kash Patel addresses the tragedy that happened last night at DCA, and gives his prayers and condolences to all involved.

As the hearing progressed, the audience had the pleasure of hearing commentary from Senator John Kennedy (R-LA).
Kennedy shared a clip from the hearing to his X account with the caption: "Kash Patel is right—The American people are entitled to a singular form of justice and to the details about every public corruption investigation, including the Russia Hoax and Hunter Biden crimes."

Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) claimed that Patel is not qualified. He brought up Patel's book Government Gangsters, and says everyone should read this before confirming him.
Durbin discusses Patel’s list of 60 people who he believes are members of the Deep State, and talks about how Patel wants to go after the Fake News Media. In a bout of irony, Durbin is placing an Easter egg to educate the American people.

Durbin discusses Patel’s list of 60 people who he believes are members of the Deep State, and talks about how Patel…
Toria wrote about Durbin's discussion regarding Patel’s post about January 6th, when he said, "Cowards in uniform exposed."
She retorted, "Durbin fail[ed] to specify which "cowards in uniform" Patel may have been referring to, only referencing Capitol Police Officers. Durbin makes no mention of the hundreds of federal agents that were on the ground on January 6, 2021."
Durbin then discussed comments that Patel made wherein he said that J6 was planned for at least a year out by FBI.
Durbin displayed big posters depicting January 6 protesters who were primarily violent. The Senator provided no context as to whether these protesters were or were not granted clemency by President Trump. Therefore, the attempt to correlate these inferences to Mr. Patel’s commentary on January 6 was misleading.
Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) called out Durbin’s mischaracterization of Patel’s comments regarding "Cowards in uniform."
Grassley clarified that Patel was discussing the failure of senior Pentagon leadership to mobilize the National Guard.
Patels comments were given during an interview when discussing a NYT article exposing grave miscommunication between the DOD and the National Guard.

"Kash Patel challenged the January 6 timeline and narrative These DoD records, I obtained in February 2021, document Guard requests."
Herridge continued, "KEY FINDINGS: Before Jan. 6, "DoD confirmed with U.S Capitol Police (USCP) there is no request for DoD support." DC Mayor requested limited Guard forces for "Traffic Control Points" and "Metro Station Support."'
Multiple times during the hearing, Patel hit on the Pentagon's failure to mobilize the National Guard as President Trump had requested, due to former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's negligence as well as Mayor Bowser's letter of declination.
Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA) made blanket statements that everyone who partook in the recording of the chart-topping J6 Choir Song "is a violent criminal," however, did not address the names of who were pardoned by President Trump.
Mr. Patel clapped back: "I have never endorsed violence against law enforcements. You should ask the Capital Police officers if I am benefitting them."
Schiff asked: "Are you fit to be FBI Director?"
Kash: "I am fit to be FBI Director."

Arguably one of the hardest-hitting moments of the hearing, Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) asked Mr. Patel if he would work with her on uncovering the truths about sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
Wow! Senator Marsha Blackburn asks Kash Patel about the Epstein files and the names that are on it, and he commits to releasing that information! That's why the dems are freaking out more than ever! pic.twitter.com/YhWOyBSufX

If confirmed as the FBI Director, Patel told Blackburn he would work to find out the names on Epstein's client list and release it.
When asked about his priorities and favorite moments of his career, Kash said, "My time in the White House was preceded by my time on Capitol Hill, where I spearheaded the House Intel Committee investigation into [Russiagate].
[Under my direction] the priority of the FBI will be to provide safety for the American people and parks for your kids to play in.
Public trust can only be restored if there is full transparency. All requests for information will be fulfilled expeditiously…"
Patel said his favorite part of his career is his role in matters of national security, and taking down high profile terrorists. He shared in Chuck Grassley perspective in the importance of whistleblowers.
Kash discussed his time as a civilian for Joint Special Operations Command, embedded with SEAL Team 6 and Delta Force.
Patel does not condone violence against law enforcement. Patel's goals are to protect our laws and our way of life. "It is a privilege to serve this nation."
