ARIZONA BORDER CRISIS: Mass illegal border crossings in Lukeville

ARIZONA — Adam Klepp of KGun9 in Tucson, Arizona, reported from the border this morning in Lukeville:

"This is by far one of the biggest groups I have ever seen in one place. . . Let me show you what's going on here. All the migrants are lined up along the wall here. There's about 3 Border Patrol Agents for the 300 to 400, possibly 500 migrants that are here."

"Migrants from South America, Senegal, Guinea... and you see the line just goes, and goes, and goes."

"All of these migrants need to be formally apprehended, transported, and processed in the Tucson sector."

Klepp shared photos of the scene to X, formerly known as Twitter:

"It’s nearly impossible to show how big of a mess it is here. There’s a dumpster on site but not everything gets in. Trash, full diapers, and wet spots line the ground. Migrants are coming up to me and asking for help getting out of here."

"Migrants are entering in Lukeville in areas where smugglers cut the border wall. This is one spot where many pieces of the wall have been welded."

"You can see all of the dates in which they were... this spot was welded on November 16, just a week or so ago. This spot was welded May 11. June 2, October... So this has been going on for months and months and months. This is also one of the gates that is open during monsoon season to allow water to flow."

"But all of these spots are welded after smugglers come and cut open the fence. You can see these two from November 20, just about a week ago."

This afternoon, Fox News Correspondent Bill Melugin shared an update from Border Patrol:

"NEW: CBP announces it will be temporarily suspending vehicle processing at a port of entry in Eagle Pass, TX & reducing vehicle processing in Lukeville, AZ in order to redirect CBP personnel to assist Border Patrol with processing/handling mass illegal crossings in both areas."

Melugin then shared the official statement from Border Patrol:
