Truth Social Rolls Out New TV Streaming Feature

Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), the parent company of the Truth Social platform, announced Friday that it is rolling out its streaming TV platform, Truth+.

The streaming content is expected to soon become available to all Truth Social users, followed by Android and iOS apps.

“First, we created Truth Social to provide a safe harbor for free speech on the Internet,” said TMTG CEO Devin Nunes in the company’s press release.

“Now, we’re establishing a reliable home for great TV content that is neglected by the big corporations or is at risk of cancellation—and we are securing our own tech stack and hardware infrastructure to make our new CDN uncancellable. I look forward, in the near future, to launching many enhancements and adding great, new content to the platform,” he added.

The streaming service will include news, commentary, weather, lifestyle and entertainment content. TMTG also plans to expand programming to additional Christian and family-friendly content, according to its statement.

The efforts are part of TMTG’s mission to “end Big Tech’s assault on free speech by opening up the Internet and giving people their voices back.” TMTG also operates Truth Social, a social media platform established to bypass leftist censorship.

As of July 1, TMTG announced over $350 million in cash on hand and that it was free of debt.

The company has dealt with attacks from critics of Trump, including allegations of users seeking to manipulate DJT stock.

As RSBN previously reported, Nunes wrote to the commissioner of the Louisiana Office of Financial Institutions, Scott Jolly, in May urging Louisiana officials to investigate the alleged manipulation of DJT stocks.

“The anomalies surrounding the trading of DJT suggest the possibility of unlawful collusion among multiple market counterparties including, without limitation: prime brokers, clearing brokers, executing brokers, options market makers, hedge funds, custodian banks, and other fiduciaries.  Such collusion would violate not only federal law, but also Louisiana law,” Nunes wrote.

Trump frequently turns to his Truth Social account to speak out on issues of the day, offering the ability to communicate without fear of censorship.

Trump was previously banned or suspended from many social media platforms, including Meta’s Facebook and Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter).
