Mediaite reported: "Mark Cuban pushed back against accusations that the "mainstream media" leans to the left, declaring that it is conservatives who dominate the media space today.

Cuban joined Joe Kernen, Andrew Ross Sorkin, and Rebecca Quick on CNBC’s Squawk Box on Thursday to discuss the presidential election and his support for Vice President Kamala Harris. During the interview, Kernen brought up criticism from Elon Musk of the media and cited a report from the conservative Media Research Center’s (MRC) NewsBusters that found ABC News had run 100% positive coverage of Harris and 93% negative coverage of Trump. ABC News hosted what is shaping up to be the only Trump/Harris debate.

"I would just argue that filling in the blanks does not account for that move and the media coverage has been so positive and almost, Mark, that it’s like, we don’t have to worry about electing this guy who is clearly not up for another four years, and it’s not Donald Trump so the people and the left that need a candidate would have embraced anyone at that point. And you know ABC it was 100% positive coverage of her, 92% negative of Trump so Elon says, what changed the media coverage?" Kernen asked.

"First, what’s the most watched news channel? Who are the most watched and viewed and listened to podcasts?" Cuban responded.

Kernen named Fox News and Cuban agreed. The cable news channel regularly laps its competitors in the ratings.

"I mean, it’s not close. The number one shows are all Fox, the number one podcasts lean right," he said.

Cuban has been making the media rounds to discuss the current election this week, appearing on Fox News and discussing his feud with Musk and his past support for former President Donald Trump with comedian Theo Von.

Cuban argued the success of Fox and other right-leaning outlets in other media spaces like podcasts shows that the “mainstream media” has turned conservative.

"The mainstream media is not who you think it is. The mainstream media truly leans right," Cuban said.

"Maybe that’s why it’s only tied then," Kernen replied.
